Mushroom Foraging Outing

Jims Mushrooms

Our good friend Jim Wheeler is taking reservations for mushroom foraging outings and cooking classes. This is a rare opportunity for the uninitiated to gain access to a time honored Northwest tradition of feeding oneself from nature. These special experiences include two hours of Chanterelle, and other mushrooms, finding and picking instruction, with a cooking demonstration and meal, featuring multiple mushroom recipes. $60 per person includes everything except gear and transportation. We will be picking on private property, so no permits are necessary. Please, no dogs or children under 12 (please make sure the children actually want to participate.) You will need a basket, a knife, long pants and good shoes, and weather appropriate clothing. Message Jim here. https://www.facebook.com/james.e.mindt, or contact me through e-mail. At strainedcarrots@gmail.com.

Support your local mountain man!!
He also has Chanterelles for sale, with recipes, for $10 a pound.
